Almost two years have passed since Prime Minister Abe decided Japan would take part in the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement negotiations. However, the negotiations between the United States and Japan have run aground, and the reality is that the entire negotiation process has stagnated. How will the negotiations proceed from here? Will the TPP succeed or fail? How will that influence our lives? Economists from Hitotsubashi University, a leading university in the social sciences, and other specialists will debate these questions at the symposium.
